History of Muay Thai

The art of Muay Thai is embedded deep in tradition and history.  Although, its origin is not fully understood, it can be claimed with certainty that it is a practical fighting skill that encompasses parts of the body and spirit of the mind.  Muay Thai is believed to come from the words “to pull together” and it is under this notion that our students learn to become masters of unity and hand held combat.

The combination of historical practice with Buddhist tradition makes this specific art so unique.  It develops focus and accuracy without the use of conventional or non-conventional weapons.  Strength is gained in the use of bare-fists, wrists, fingers, elbows, knees and feet.  It will be these traditional practices that ensure proper protection and the stability of mind necessary to overcome even the most drastic of security situations.
